Test Automation Engineer

Candidate must have a background in test automation, Web Application front-end development, or Siebel. Candidates with previous experience on Agile teams especially within Government agencies will be well suited for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with developers, professional services team and product managers to define the automated testing components that will be used to validate requirements against developed software
• Work with team members in adopting and learning test automation techniques
• Assist with Scrum Team estimation of stories and sizing of effort to include the representation of the test automation and engagement with Continuous Integration (CI) required
• Contributes to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organizations' Agile project life cycle
• Execute automated testing on both Web Front end and back end systems
• Run test validations at various levels including DB validation, rules validation, logging validation, and UI validation

Overview:

As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will work with our growing DevSecOps practice delivering quality assurance services to support application, cloud, and data systems development. We are looking for candidates with 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance and test automation practices within an Agile/DevSecOps work environment

Contributions:

Responsibilities
• Understand the needs of stakeholders and conveying requirements to development teams
• Collaborate with product design teams to determine testing parameters and acceptance criteria
• Write comprehensive test plans, create test cases, develop test procedures, document bug reports, and produce final QA reports for products
• Manage test data architecture definition and coordinate test data requests
• Develop automated testing scripts with consideration for parallelization and idempotency
• Integrate test automation including performance, security, and functional tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Execute testing and examination of code written by others and analyze results, including three or more of the following:
• Data validation testing
• Functional testing
• Performance and load testing
• Usability testing
• Accessibility (Section 508) testing
• Develop automated testing scripts considering parallelization and idempotency
• Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
• Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
• Document as-is state of the environment, perform gap analysis, and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendations
• Engineer and implement solutions and provide recommendations for continuous improvement of services provided

Role Test Analyst (SDET)

Assisting the agile team to define testable work that ensures that desired customer experiences and outcomes are achieved and are technically robust, high performing, stable and secure. Promoting continuous improvement and identifying opportunities for efficiencies to maximize the customer experience and reduce test cycle time. Reviewing design documents, business requirements (Stories), acceptance criteria, within the agile team to build test scenarios for testing activities. Review and provide feedback on project documents to aid creation of testing strategy, frameworks, script development standards, test plans and test is complete reports. Pro-actively sharing and reporting risks, issues, challenges, blockers and forthcoming tasks to the Scrum Master or Quality Manager. Accountable to ensure the defects are detected and reported to be prioritized (based on impact) with the Product Owners. Providing support in highlighting software and hardware requirements to ensure proficient delivery of your role. Overview

Ten Mile Square is looking for a talented Software Engineer in Test (SDET) who is passionate about technology to join our growing team of product, technology, and software professionals. The initial assignment for the new position is to develop a loan origination system for a financial services enterprise. The successful candidate will work with highly experienced team leads and have an opportunity to learn new technologies, while refining fundamental skills.

Salary (Base + Standard Bonus at plan): $149,500 ($130K + $19.5K).

Job Responsibilities
• Lead the test automation efforts for a loan origination system using Node, Apollo GraphQL, Angular, Camunda, and a suite of AWS components including but not limited to EKS, Lambda, S3, MSK, and Aurora.
• Collaborate with SDETs in the organization.
• Design test plans for the system
• Create automated end-to-end and contract tests
• Create a performance testing framework and run performance tests on the system being developed
