We are an MIT-born, venture-backed Silicon Valley startup building a real-life 'Jarvis'. An AI Copilot for design and manufacturing. Our goal is to utilize advanced AI, physics simulation, and computer graphics to reduce costs and improve engineering productivity across all steps of the design and manufacturing process.

This role is a mix of a few worlds coming together. You’ll be working with machine learning but not in a vacuum it’s applied to real engineering problems, working with 2D and 3D data from CAD, CAE, and CAM systems. A big part of the work is taking complex geometry, design workflows, and simulation data and figuring out how to turn that into something an AI system can actually understand and use.

We’re looking for someone who’s strong technically, especially in Python and ML, but also has the curiosity to dig into how things are designed and built in the real world. You might come from a research background or industry but either way you’re comfortable moving between theory and practical application. If you’ve spent time around mechanical systems or engineering design, that’s a big plus, because a lot of this role is about bridging that gap between advanced models and how engineers actually work day to day.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain geometry processing and simulation algorithms for engineering applications.
Build services for reading, processing, and writing 2D/3D engineering data.
Develop rendering modules for generating 2D/3D visual assets.
Curate and manage large-scale datasets for learning-based systems.
Implement and optimize post-training workflows for machine learning models.
Contribute to the development of domain-specific languages for engineering tasks.

What we are looking for

5+ years of academic or industry experience in one or more of the following areas: Geometric Processing, Simulation, Optimization, Machine Learning, or Domain-Specific Languages.

Overview

The Applied AI Prompt Engineer designs, optimizes, and maintains the prompts, agent behaviors, context structures, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) workflows that power DeVry’s enterprise AI ecosystem—including Copilot, ChatGPT, agentic workflows, and internal knowledge tools.

This is a hybrid role blending prompt engineering, operational AI lifecycle management, and cross-functional collaboration. You will rapidly prototype prompt variations, run evaluations, maintain knowledge pipelines, and ensure outputs remain accurate, compliant, and aligned with DeVry’s tone and policies.

The ideal candidate is fast, curious, experimental, and skilled at translating human-to-human support scenarios into reliable AI-driven interactions.

Key Responsibilities

Prompt Design & Optimization
• Design and maintain high-quality prompts, and agent instructions for enterprise AI platforms.
• Rapidly prototype and iterate prompt variants using structured experimentation, evaluation metrics, and A/B testing.
• Build evaluation rubrics, structured test cases, and prompt datasets to measure accuracy, tone, consistency, and policy alignment.
• Adapt prompts for higher-education use cases (e.g., advising, HR, faculty support, IT, student services) while maintaining institutional tone and compliance.

RAG & Knowledge Integration
• Curate and manage document ingestion, embeddings, and knowledge base updates to ensure relevant, current, and contex

About the Role

We are hiring an AI Engineer who has built agents that are live in production at real companies — not demos, not prototypes that died after a pitch, not research projects. We need someone who has shipped agentic systems that enterprises depend on every day, and who understands the full lifecycle: scoping the business problem, designing the agent architecture, integrating with messy enterprise systems, building evaluation and monitoring, and keeping it running reliably.

This role sits across two priorities equally: building our internal multi-agent AI platform and delivering agent-based solutions directly to enterprise clients. You will work closely with our engineering team and the Managing Partner. You will have significant autonomy and direct impact on both the product and the business.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and deploy AI agents and multi-agent systems that solve real business problems for enterprise clients.
Architect and implement agent orchestration — coordination, handoffs, shared state, and communication between specialized agents within our multi-agent platform.
