Senior Quality Engineer (QE / Test Automation) - Mastech Digital - Dallas, TX

Looking for a Senior Quality Engineers to support a large‑scale financial services platform. This is a hands‑on, automation‑focused role suited for professionals who enjoy owning quality end‑to‑end while working closely with Agile engineering teams.

You will play a key role in defining test strategy, building automation frameworks, and ensuring high‑quality delivery across UI, API, and data layers.

Key Responsibilities
Lead test strategy, planning, and execution from project inception to deployment Design, build, and maintain UI automation frameworks using Selenium + Cucumber (Java) Develop and maintain API automation using Rest Assured / Karate Perform data validation using SQL queries (simple to complex) Collaborate with developers, product owners, and offshore teams in an Agile/Scrum environment Participate in sprint ceremonies, planning sessions, demos, and retrospectives Maintain automation code using Git/Maven and support CI/CD pipelines
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 6+ years of experience in Quality Engineering / Test Automation Strong hands‑on experience with Java‑based automation frameworks Expertise in Selenium, Cucumber/BDD for UI automation Solid experience in API testing (Rest Assured, Karate, Postman) Strong SQL skills for backend/data validation Experience working in Agile delivery models Excellent communication and coordination skills Ability to work onsite in Dallas, TX
Nice to Have
Experience in banking or financial services domain Exposure to DevOps / CI‑CD pipelines Experience working with global or offshore teams Knowledge of Python or Hadoop (not mandatory)
