An Application Architect/Engineer specializing in Application Automation is responsible for designing and implementing automation solutions that streamline business processes and optimize service delivery. This individual understands functional and non-functional requirements and is able to provide solution architecture and design, technical leadership, perform technology evaluation and selection, performance optimization and take care of security and compliance requirements. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, architecting scalable automation solutions, and ensuring the integration of these solutions into the existing IT infrastructure for the client. An application architect must have expert level knowledge on automation tools and technologies (e.g., UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, AI/GenAI, Workflows), Assets (Digital Workers, IT/AI Operations, Agent Assistant etc.), APIs for Watsonx/ other hyperscalers.
