Principal Software Development Engineer in Test - Akkodis Group Nordics - Hamilton Township, NJ

Akkodis is seeking a Principal Software Development Engineer in Test for a Contract with a client in Hamilton, NJ. This role drives automation framework architecture, enforces Azure DevOps quality gates, and ensures rigorous data validation for high‑confidence releases.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Principal Software Development Engineer In Test Job Responsibilities Include
• Lead the architecture, design, and governance of scalable automation frameworks across UI, API, services, and data platforms.
• Drive data quality engineering by implementing automated validation for databases, pipelines, and system integrations, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reconciliation.
• Embed automation and quality gates within Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, improving test reliability, execution speed, and release confidence.
• Enable AI‑driven quality practices using Copilot and other AI tools to accelerate test generation, analyze failures, and enhance code maintainability.
• Partner with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to improve system testability, observability, and quality-by-design principles across the platform.
• Mentor and guide SDETs, elevating automation maturity, coding standards, and quality engineering best practices across teams.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of hands‑on experience in SDET, Test Automation, or Quality Engineering with enterprise‑scale systems.
• Proven expertise in UI, API, and data quality automation using tools such as Java/Python, Playwright/Selenium, and advanced SQL.
• Demonstrated ability to lead automation strategy, implement CI/CD quality gates in Azure DevOps, and influence cross‑functional engineering teams at a Principal level.
