Akkodis is seeking a QA Automation Engineer for a Contract with a client in Sunrise, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining automated and manual test strategies to ensure high‑quality, reliable software delivery in CI/CD environments.
Rate Range: $37/hour to $39/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
QA Automation Engineer Job Responsibilities Include
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks from scratch using Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Cucumber, and Maven.
• Create and execute automated and manual test cases for functional, regression, smoke, cross‑browser, API, and performance testing.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git, and Selenium Grid to support continuous testing.
• Perform API testing and backend validation using REST Assured, Postman, SQL, and MongoDB to ensure data integrity and service reliability.
• Identify, log, track, and validate defects; participate in defect triage discussions and drive issues to resolution.
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional agile teams to improve test coverage, enhance quality metrics, and support go/no‑go release decisions.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 4–7 years of hands‑on experience in QA automation and software testing.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in designing and implementing automation frameworks from scratch using Java, Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, and Maven within CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven experience in API, backend, and performance testing with REST Assured, Postman, SQL/MongoDB, and tools like JMeter, along with strong Agile/Scrum collaboration skills.
