Role: QUALITY ENGINEERING & AUTOMATION SPECIALIST

Location: Cincinnati, OH (onsite)

Job Description:

Quality Engineering & Automation:
• Develop and execute automated test frameworks for Databricks notebooks, jobs, Delta tables, and data pipelines.
• Implement automated data validation, schema checks, and quality monitoring using tools such as PySpark, SQL, Delta Live Tables, and Databricks Workflows.
• Build reusable test harnesses for ETL/ELT processes, ML pipelines, and APIs.

Data Pipeline Testing:
• Conduct end to end testing of ingestion, transformation, and consumption layers.
• Validate data quality dimensions including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, validity, consistency, and uniqueness.
• Create and maintain synthetic datasets for testing workflows.

Collaboration & Governance:
• Work closely with Data Engineers, Platform Engineers, and Data Scientists to ensure high-quality pipeline design and execution.
• Partner with governance teams to implement data quality SLAs, KPIs, and observability dashboards.
• Contribute to CI/CD processes for Databricks jobs and testing automation.

Performance & Reliability:
• Analyze and optimize performance of Spark jobs and data workflows.
• Troubleshoot failures, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure testing processes scale across large datasets and distributed compute environments
