Position Summary
The Quality Engineer ensures that automation products, equipment, and manufacturing processes meet quality standards and customer expectations. This role develops and improves quality systems, leads root-cause investigations, supports new product introduction, and collaborates with engineering, production, and suppliers to continuously improve quality within an automation-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Systems & Compliance
Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems in alignment with ISO 9001 or other applicable standards. Create and update documentation including control plans, PFMEAs, work instructions, and audit procedures. Conduct internal audits and support external or customer audits. Production & Process Quality Monitor production processes and automation equipment to ensure consistent output and product reliability. Analyze quality data (scrap, defects, downtime) and identify improvement opportunities. Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to optimize automated processes for quality and efficiency.
