QA organization is transitioning from manual testing toward incorporating test automation
Will define the technical roadmap, evaluating existing technology for a build/buy/reuse strategy, and act as a technical mentor
The position is the second hire for the team, following an automation engineer in Finland, and is intended to be a senior Individual Contributor role with technical leadership responsibilities
The person in this role would be tasked with defining the technical road map for automation, which includes evaluating existing technology to inform the build/buy/reuse strategy
The core function of this role is to be an evangelist for automation, driving the technical strategy across the QA organization and all games projects
Looking for someone to empower the entire QA team to build their own automation by providing them with user interfaces (UIs) and easy-to-use tools, which recognizes that they do not need to be programmers. The role also involves looking at emerging AI technologies to ensure the organization stays current and leverages them to improve existing processes
Candidate must have hands-on experience building and delivering automation solutions specifically in games
This role is a bonafide development and engineering role, requiring proper programming skills, the ability to modify and extend code, and the capability to change CI/CD pipelines.
Interview panel will include technical programming folks to assess their developer expertise and ensure they can contribute to existing technology
